Video!! Prime Minister Nabbanja Punched In The Face During NRM Primaries – Here’s Why And Who Did It

A heated political clash in the Bugangaizi East Constituency has brought Uganda’s Prime Minister, Robinah Nabbanja, into the spotlight after reports emerged that she was allegedly punched in the face during a chaotic moment in the NRM party primaries.

The incident reportedly involved Mr. Onesmus Twinamatsiko, who won the fiercely contested NRM parliamentary primary held last Thursday.

Sources claim that the altercation occurred when Ms. Nabbanja attempted to intervene in the vote announcement process, triggering a scuffle that resulted in the reported assault.

At the time of the incident, Prime Minister Nabbanja was in New York attending the United Nations General Assembly’s 10th session of the Economic and Social Council High-Level Political Forum.

By Wednesday evening, she had not officially responded to inquiries by Daily Monitor.

However, her team in Kampala confirmed that a confrontation did take place and maintained that the Prime Minister was physically attacked in the process.

The alleged punch has sparked emotional reactions across the political divide, with many expressing shock over the breach in her security.

Security agencies have not yet issued an official statement, but investigations into the matter are reportedly underway.

Her aide, who spoke about this incident said that the Prime Minister did not respond even though she was attacked.

Ugandan lawyer, Dr Sarah Bireete who took to X formerly Twitter to speak on this, said that these were primitive politics.

In other news, the President of Uganda, His Excellency, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has called for investigations into the alleged irregularities witnessed during the National Resistance Movement party primaries.

In a statement on X formerly Twitter, the President who was speaking about the National Resistance Movement party primaries, also requested those who lost their seats to alleged irregularities during the Elections to allow the police to conduct their investigations.

He went on to say that action is going to be taken against suspects who will be found guilty of Electral malpractices.

This is happening at the same time when Ugandas Chief of Defence Forces General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has called upon Ugandans to vote for the President in the 2026 Presidential elections in Uganda.

The CDF who was speaking ahead of the 2026 Presidential elections in Uganda also said that the UPDF is going to be on the ground monitoring the situation during the General Elections.
