St. Mary’s College Mayenze has introduced a new bursary initiative aimed at supporting talented and hardworking students in Uganda, particularly those facing financial difficulties.
The program offers a 50% tuition fee reduction to students who excel in academics or sports. To qualify, pupils must score between 4 and 14 aggregates in the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), providing an opportunity for top-performing students to continue their education with less financial strain.
In addition to the bursary, the school is offering an early payment discount. Families who pay their school fees within the first two weeks of the term will receive a 2% discount, helping ease financial planning and encouraging timely payments.
The 2026 academic year will also feature enriching educational experiences. Students will have the chance to visit historical sites, landmarks, and even the Parliament of Uganda, enhancing their understanding of the nation’s history, governance, and development.
To continue motivating academic excellence, the school will reward students who achieve seven or more distinctions. These students will receive a cash prize of UGX 50,000 or partial tuition waivers as a way to acknowledge their hard work and encourage continued success.
The school is also offering special support for vulnerable students. Orphans will benefit from reduced fees, with a 50% discount for those who have lost their fathers and a 25% discount for those who have lost their mothers.
Beyond academics, St. Mary’s College Mayenze emphasizes spiritual and moral growth. Students take part in daily prayers, Scripture Union activities, and Mass, which contribute to the development of discipline, faith, and strong values.
Boarding students are provided with nutritious meals and carefully planned weekly menus, ensuring their health and well-being are prioritized as they focus on their studies.
Through its blend of academic rigor, practical learning experiences, and a supportive environment, St. Mary’s College Mayenze strives to nurture confident, responsible, and well-rounded future leaders.
