My Mother Couldn’t Be Happier That I Landed My Dream Job After College

At first, I never imagined that I would be able to help my mother after finishing school. I was born into a very poor family, and my father had passed away many years ago.

My mother worked tirelessly to put me through school. She took on menial jobs to make sure I had food and school fees paid. Often, I felt guilty and helpless, seeing her struggle so much for me.

“Mom, please don’t punish yourself for my sake. I want to leave school because it hurts to see you struggle every day for me. I need to start working hard for you,” I once told her.
