“Mpuuga Has No Truth In Him, I Have Left Him, He Will Be Lucky to Get a Call from Me Again” Muhammad Nsereko Breaks Ties

Hon. Muhammad Nsereko, a close friend of Mathias Mpuuga, has publicly announced that he is ending his relationship with the Democratic Front leader. Nsereko expressed deep disappointment in Mpuuga, calling him dishonest and unreliable.

Speaking to the media, Nsereko said the National Unity Platform (NUP) was right to part ways with Mpuuga. “The man has no truth in him,” he said, emphasizing that he could no longer work with the DF leader.

Nsereko revealed that when he first met Mpuuga, he asked him if he was planning to contest for the presidency. Mpuuga reportedly said no and assured Nsereko that he would support his political ambitions. “I told him I was running, and he said we would support me,” Nsereko said.

However, Nsereko said that Mpuuga recently reversed his stance. According to Nsereko, Mpuuga claimed that the Democratic Front would not send or support any candidate in the presidential race, which came as a shock. “Just yesterday he foxed me, and new words came from him… something that surprised me,” Nsereko said.

He went on to describe Mpuuga as dishonest and untrustworthy. “Hon. Mpuuga is not an honest man, and I am done with him. He will be lucky to get a call from me again,” Nsereko stated firmly.

The fallout between the two political figures comes amid ongoing tensions within Uganda’s opposition parties. Nsereko’s comments underline the fragile nature of alliances in the country’s political landscape.

Observers suggest that Nsereko’s public break with Mpuuga could weaken the Democratic Front, a small but notable party in Ugandan politics. It also highlights the challenges opposition parties face in maintaining unity and trust among their leaders.

Political analysts note that Nsereko’s decision aligns him more closely with the National Unity Platform and its leader, Bobi Wine, who had previously parted ways with Mpuuga. This move may strengthen his influence within NUP while distancing him from the Democratic Front.

The dispute also reflects the importance of honesty and commitment in political partnerships. Nsereko’s sharp criticism signals that political relationships in Uganda are often conditional and require consistent trustworthiness.

As Uganda heads toward another election cycle, Nsereko’s break with Mpuuga could have ripple effects on party alliances, campaign strategies, and voter perceptions. It also sends a clear message that betrayal and dishonesty in politics may carry serious consequences for leaders’ reputations and influence.
