A family in Kabarole has called for investigations following the death of their son who passed away after allegedly being beaten by Police officers for allegedly stealing a phone at a party that had been held by Kabarole’s speaker, among the guests was the deputy speaker.
According to the reports given by a reliable source of information, it has been reported that the deceased who has been identified as Mugisa Steven died in police custody.
The mother who spoke about this incident has stated that her son did not attend the said party, a suspect who stole phones was seen by witnesses, after being taken to the police, he claimed that he gave the stolen phones to the deceased who was later arrested by Police before he was found dead.
Sulaiman Mugume, the father of the deceased revealed that the nails of the deceased had been removed, his head had a big wound, blood was allegedly coming out the private parts of the deceased at the time he was found in the mortuary.
Ugandas police Spokesperson who was contacted to speak on this stated that investigations are currently ongoing adding that all will be disclosed in due time.
