The Buganda Road Chief Magistrates Court imposed a crucial condition on Burora’s release: he must return home and refrain from making any further comments about Speaker Anita Among. To secure his bail, Burora paid UGX 5 million.
Burora faces six charges related to hate speech and disseminating defamatory information about Speaker Among. The prosecution claims that between March and June 2024, Burora used his X handle ‘@HarderHB’ to circulate harmful statements about Among, accusing her of being involved in torture, murder, kidnapping, and extensive corruption.
