Over the weekend, a somber cloud enveloped the Mayanja household as they mourned the passing of their eldest sibling, Humphrey Mayanja, who succumbed to cancer after a courageous battle.
Humphrey, distinguished as Joseph Chameleone’s eldest brother, may not have pursued a musical career like his siblings, but his unwavering support for their artistic endeavors was unparalleled.
His cancer journey commenced last year when he began experiencing persistent stomach ailments, eventually leading to a diagnosis of cancer. Despite receiving treatment in the United States, his condition steadily declined.
Tragically, Humphrey’s passing coincided with the ninth anniversary of another family tragedy, the untimely death of AK 47 on March 16, 2015. During the commemoration, Mzee Gerald Mayanja and Prossy Mayanja beseeched for prayers for Humphrey’s recovery, emphasizing the severity of his condition.
“We are deeply concerned about his deteriorating health and are fervently praying for a miraculous turnaround,” remarked Mzee Mayanja, explaining the postponement of AK47’s commemoration from the 16th to the 17th to prioritize caring for their ailing son.
