Edward Ssenkumba, the known Local Council Chairman of Bulange A Zone Lubaga Division in Kampala City, has narrated a shocking tale surrounding one of the purported assassins involved in the tragic demise of Omutaka Eng. Daniel Bbosa Lwomwa, the esteemed head of Buganda Kingdom’s Endiga (Sheep) clan.

In an exclusive conversation with the media, Ssenkumba shed light on the lifestyle of one of the alleged assailants, currently battling for his life at Mulago Hospital, a resident within his jurisdiction.

Ssenkumba recounted a revealing encounter with the accused assassin, known only as Derrick, who sought assistance in processing certain documents related to his late mother’s estate. However, suspicions arose regarding Derrick’s intentions, as it became apparent he aimed to secure powers of attorney illicitly, potentially to exploit his mother’s assets without regard for his siblings. Ssenkumba’s insistence on involving Derrick’s siblings thwarted his return, leaving the matter unresolved.

Though Derrick’s identity and background remain somewhat veiled, Ssenkumba’s recollection offers glimpses into his persona and associations. Identified as a bodaboda cyclist operating at Salaam Boda Stage, Derrick allegedly led a notorious criminal faction, wreaking havoc with firearms across Mengo, Kisenyi, and Lungujja.

Despite Derrick’s notoriety, Ssenkumba attested to the challenges in substantiating allegations, attributing the failure to insufficient evidence during local council deliberations. Moreover, amidst the chaos following Bbosa’s assassination, Ssenkumba navigated a delicate balance, cautioning bystanders and quelling potential unrest.

Delving into Derrick’s lifestyle, Ssenkumba unveiled a pattern of extravagant spending, accompanied by questionable sources of income. Derrick’s frequent patronage of local establishments and purported liaisons with married women further cemented his enigmatic persona.

While distancing himself from familiarity with the deceased’s accomplice, Enock Serunkuuma, Ssenkumba mourned the loss of his dear friend, Bbosa, a visionary entrepreneur with ambitious plans for a factory in Bulange. Bbosa’s untimely demise cast a shadow over his impending legal battle and strained relations within Buganda’s esteemed clan hierarchy.

Amidst whispers of foul play and vendettas within Buganda’s cultural landscape, Bbosa’s allies rallied against speculations of impropriety, vowing to uphold his legacy amidst tumultuous times.

As investigations unfold and the community grapples with the aftermath, the shadowy realm of clandestine alliances and vendettas continues to haunt the corridors of power, leaving lingering questions unanswered and justice elusive.
